The digital era of photography comes with so many gadgets to capture a perfect image and an opportunity to capture endless amounts of images so you can delete 100 and keep the one.
While it has definitely made life easier, it can also make you blow through the best part. The pressure of having 36 opportunities to make magic.
In this series, I challenged myself to bring it all back to the basics. No elaborate set ups, no strobes, no digital camera, I had to process the film myself and find the best version of the images through good old fashion trial and error in the dark room.
I collected random items around the house and on old flashlight for light. I played around with the lighting until these seemingly mundane items, turned into patterns and designs.
Items: Blinds, book with paper tabs, a hula girl figurine, wooden pasta fork, a rug and a dinner plates.
