The Home Depot // Uncontained Open House
The creators behind the world’s first shoppable 360° video home tour
We took immersive retail to a whole new level in partnership with The Home Depot. They’re the ultimate destination for home improvement but it’s not all nuts and bolts. They wanted to tout their offerings for designers, decorators and aesthetic enthusiasts, too.
My team collaborated with Ben Uyeda of Homemade Modern to put a unique twist on the traditional real estate tour video. Using a shipping container as the “bones” of the house, we built out a jaw dropping home interior in Joshua Tree.
The home was built, finished and decorated with materials, products and accents from The Home Depot. Then we filmed a 360° home tour along with complimentary how-tos, trend features and more. All immersive videos were shoppable and supported by paid media, inviting design lovers to go deeper and join the conversation on Meta, Pinterest, YouTube and both Ben’s and The Home Depot’s blogs. We put a creative spin on the conventional real estate video home tour and created the world’s first shoppable 360° video home tour. In collaboration with Ben we created video, shoppable 360° video, how-to’s, product shout-outs, product posts and lots of other content on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Ben’s and The Home Depot’s blogs.
